« Et puis bien sûr, il y a eu la rencontre. C’était en avril 2007. Je rencontrais enfin le Doctor Romantico. Très vite nous en venions à un accord : il m’autorisait à poursuivre le tournage du documentaire qui lui était consacré et m’accordait un entretien filmé; il avait décidé de financer mes recherches aux conditions suivantes: un droit de veto, qui ne m’étonna guère, ainsi que l’interdiction formelle de filmer son visage.
De ces conditions résulte un documentaire en deux parties, la première, dans laquelle ses proches et son public parlent du poète, et la seconde à travers laquelle le Doctor Romantico livre sa vision du monde et de la création. »

« And then, of course, the meeting happened. It was in April of 2007. I finally met the Doctor Romantico. Quickly, we agreed about my project : he allowed me to continue the shooting of the documentary I was making about him and gave me his consent for an interview. He also decided to finance my work on two conditions: he could veto whatever he wanted, which didn’t surprised me at all, and it was totally forbidden for me to film his face.
Because of these conditions, I made a two-part documentary. In the first part of the documentary, his close friends and his public talk about the poet. In the second, Doctor Romantico shares his vision about life and creation. »
